Going to install a MAG_HYTEK differential cover on my 06 3500. Heard you needed to fill in the casting numbers on older differentials, is this still true on the 06's?



Words of wisdom and experience needed. . What did you use?

I didn't have to do anything to mine except clean off the old gasket material.

If it is still on the new ones, it'll be on the flat mating surface somewhere near the o-ring. I've installed a couple and used the copper RTV. Never had any leaks.
