MagHytec Gasket Issue/Question

Hello All,

I have a regular size MagHytec transmission pan on my 2007 Dodge 5.9L SRW 3500. After a few years, it appears the MagHytec gasket has started to weep a little bit. Geno's Garage suggested trying a Mopar gasket. Its a little thicker than the MagHytec gasket, but they thought it would work.

Its a good idea. I was wondering if anyone else has had this weeping with a MagHytec gasket and it they used a Mopar gasket with a Maghytec transmission pan? Or, do you think I should just try it again with another MagHytec gasket?

i have the trans pan also, i don't see any reason why the mopar gasket won't work just fine, make sure you always torque the pan bolts. it helps keep even pressure on gasket. i would call mag-hytec and ask them, they will have best answer.

In some-not all cases it will work.The The mag-hytec always works with their pan
