Truck looks great! So do the mirrors.

I'm driving a 01 QC 4X4 3500 with a 30 foot 5th wheel. I've been pricing the Dodge oe "Elephant Ear" mirrors. Need something better than my stock for towing.

Would like to keep the power adjust if possible! What size are your mirrors? How far out from the cab do they extend? What is the price range? Where does one find them?

Appreciate any help you can offer #ad

SR, here's a pic. extended. Measuring from the drivers window to the outside of the mirror(glass) is 18 3/4". Real easy install.
Call Lucerix 800-295-3703, ask for Scott Strong and ask for your nearest dealer.
Larry.

Yogi:

Those don't extend anywhere near far enough for Silver Ratler!! He is going to need something like a dressing room mirror hanging off the side of his truck to avoid those inconspicuous 35' Hitchhiker trailers that are parked #ad

Inside joke... your mirrors look great. I just installed a factory set of the 2001 towing units that I traded straight across for my stock heated units. I must live right #ad

I'm in Iowa, 34 miles north of MO border on I-29. As for Silver Ratler, I've put up with this guy for toooo many years.

In his old age he has finally listened to his "little" brother and bought a Cummins. We almost lost him to a Phord #ad

He's really showing some promise in his old age, bought a Dodge, voted for George W. , got rid of the tent trailer and bought a 5er... may just be alzheimers setting in #ad

Ramkids

So ya see I was parked and a this trailer just slide over, yea it just slid over into my bumper! Yea that's it, the parked trailer just slid into me, thats my story and I'm sticking to it. I'll be ok as soon as I can find a mirror that has built in bifoucals!

Just wait, your not getting any younger!

What do you think of Yogi's mirrors, look pretty sharp and they keep the electric adjustment. I'm going to look into them.

Yogi,

Unrelated but: How pleased are you with your antenae mounts? I've narrowed it down to the Firestik post hole or the hood mounts like yours. Are they stable enough for a 4 foot glass rod?

Thanks for the info on the mirrors and as for Ramkids well you just have to know him!:p

SR

Silver Ratler, I've just got one of them hooked to CB, the other I use for scanner. Co-phased ants. are a PIA to use, especially if you use a kicker. One on the top of cab is best, but garage keeps me from doing that. The Firestick mts. work fine, those are 4' Firestick ants. on there, just tick the garage.
Ramkids, I pull RV trls. out of York, Ne. , when I pull to Fl. or anywhere S. E. , I go to Lincoln, Ne. and take #2 over to I-29 and south. If that would put me close to you maybe we could meet for coffee sometime.

Great pics! I've been waiting to hear that
they are available heated so now I can order mine. How was the installation? They look great, btw.

Gus, that "How was the install" question is funny. I got home from trip at 4:30AM Sun. morn. ,and the mirrors were in my garage, slept about all day Sun. , and went to my 5 Star dlr. Mon. morn. for some warranty work and showed the mirrors to the owner, he liked them and wanted to see them after they were installed, I said ok, and went to lunch, when I got back from lunch, they were on my trk. ! He had his guys put them on and wanted info on them so he can sell them, so I don't know how the install went, but I was only gone about 1hr. , and no chg. !

Yogibear, do the mirrors come with the switch and all wiring or does one need the factory set up? I currently have the Dodge towing mirrors (2001), with no interior switch. Thanks

Looks great Larry. I'll be looking for my b-day gift from you.

Guys, if you can live without dual ants. , then I mounted a 4' glass similar to Larry's with a homemade bracket in the center of my bed right behind the cab. The height is the same and range is better.
