Magnaflow 4inch fits pre 98 12v?

Hey guys,



I'm looking to order a 4inch magnaflow straight pipe exhaust for my 1996. the guy at magnaflow says it fits a 98-01 and not a 1996. Is he right or should i order it? I just dont want to get something that im stuck with...



also, its t409 stainless, is that okay?

bringing this back up for you, I just put on on a 97 dont see why it wont work on your 96 but maybe some one else will.

I believe they made a change to the rear hanger either in 97 or 98. I know in 96 & earlier 2nd gens you could see the last hanger with three bolts under the right rear quarter panel.

The Pre. 98. 5's (12V) had Cat's 98. 6 and up didn't. That's the only differance.

The front frame mounted hanger might be different, I have a PDH HX-40 down pipe hooked up to a Banks stained steel system. The rear hanger is different, I installed the newer hanger.
