Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Magnaflow exhaust question

Anyone have experience with the Magnaflow stainless exhaust systems? Whats the difference between the lifetime warrantee system vs. their Xl system which only has a 1 year warrantee other than the 5" tip? Thanks.

talkin with rip aka mr muffler the difference between systems is huge.
