I just waxed the truck with Maguires Gold Class, when I first started i thought this stinks. This stuff needs lots of elbow grease but when I was finished, WOW, it's the best looking wax I've ever used. You guys gotta try this stuff!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I used to use the gold product great shine. now they have a new product called NXT better shine than gold and it goes on easier and comes off easier. superior shine to gold and a deeper more wet look. Did you also polish your truck brfore you put your wax on? makes for a better job IMHO The new NXT product is a engineered polymer product no wax in it. check out the Meguiar's site for more info great stuff.

I would like to chime in on this... . My dad is extremist when it comes to Waxing and overall appearance upkeep. His vehicles always look super and it is highly due to keeping them waxed all of the time. So its good to hear some guys waxin it up, I wax atleast twice a month and wash all of the time... .

I personally use a three stage system with a random orbital (porter cable) buffer. Its idiot proof, you can't burn the paint. About every six months I use the paint cleaner, then a polish and then top it off with the gold class. For just routine once every two months I use the Gold class to preserve the coat.

I do the paint cleaner than polish I just replaced the gold class with the new nxt product. much better results on a dark color paint. JMHO

I think the Maguires Wax is great too. I kind of consider myself a clean and shine nut, we, the wife and I spend alot of time keeping everything shinny, and use the Maguires. So far it has been great, I use to use alot of the Wax Shop products, but can no longer find them local. Maguires is maybe better anyhow, but I do like the Wax Shop instant detailer the best.

I too like to hear from others that take great pride in the appearance of their vehicles, I think they are a reflection of their owners. I also like the Mr. Clean car washing system. It works and smells good to boot. That filter does the job for a great looking no water spot finish rinse. I like to use the Clay Magic or Body Clay, which ever you prefer, to remove any contaminants from the paint surface just before a wax. I have a black truck, and they really take alot of attention to keep clean, but it all fun.
