Need Help With CR injector Diagnosis

Fca. Plug it in.... Unplug.. Plug..

So my main injector line began leaking on my 05'. While removing i noticed the pump itself was very loose, upon further inspection I found 2 of the 3 studs missing and the 3rd stud was still there but no longer had a nut on it. Is this a common problem? I replaced the studs with bolts and lock washers, it was all i could get a hold of on short notice. So basically the only thing holding the pump on was the injector line so i understand why it failed, but why would the studs come out?

I been fighting this same battle for about 6 or 8 months. After going thru 4 of the lines you're talking about it can tell you that it's about $52 from cummins. Easy to replace. As far as the stud/bolt issue. If you figure it out let me know. I'm betting a new timin cover is what it will take.

Fuel leak somewhere at the CP3 pump / found the high pressure connector line @ the pump that feeds the rail was leaking /tried to tighten the retainer nut and noticed the entire pump housing was moving/ not happy / had replaced this line 2 years ago, this is basically a new line/ WTH/ checked to see if the CP3 mounting bolts were loose... and there were none /what...really/ CP3 was replaced in 2014 by an inde shop locally /did he torque the mounting bolts / were they even installed? IDK /this may be the reason why I had to replace the high pressure feed line 2 years ago, who knows/ went to the local hardware store and sourced some mount bolts 8x1.25mm 1 3/4"L /put locktite on threads and hope they hold/ was able to get truck fired back up / still need to replace the high pressure feed line /Having a blast working outside in this wonderful NE weather/ Any input would B greatly appreciated/TIA
