Hey Family,

I am looking at getting some work done at a well known shop here in DFW. Wondering if any of you have had the following done and paid and have an idea of what I can expect?

Front timing cover gasket, valve lash ( never done it myself so don't want to risk), Oil pan, pickup tube gasket, cam O-ring, rear main seal and housing gasket

I'm expecting a 25-3000$ bill. I will supply the oil for the shop since I run amsoil and stock it.

Messed around with the quote feature on Alldata, I don't use it so take a look and pick it apart, all I did was try to select some stuff. The rear main required the trans comes out, is yours an Auto? I added the filters and line flush.

Missing the pickup tube gasket, cam O-ring, could not find that, must be called something else.

Labor is kinda low most likely, all I could pick was 100, 200, 300 for the rate, kept it easy.

Thanks alot for this. Gives me a pretty good ball park. Trans is a g56 so that saves some. I'm expecting 2k$ at least. I think there labor hours are 120$/hr.

No problem, removed Auto and swapped the manual in.

Edit, wrong photo was attached first time.

There were some options on some sort of Camshaft seal that would make the timing cover a 10.8hr job, looked like it involved taking the entire timing case off, I just have the timing cover gasket, not the case off.

So really depends on what exactly they do, and not sure in this program I'm just using the canned settings.

Still it's a good starting point!

Agree better then nothing.

Yeah for what we pay a month for this package it better be close.

I use it for our own fleet not for customers quotes. It's pretty neat you can track all these things, it has a lot of.manual adds you can do.
