make the door buzzer go away!!!!!??

does anyone know how to make the door buzzer turn off for good. i wanna listen to my music with all 4 doors open but i keep hearing that sound! i have kinda isolated exactly where its coming from but was wondering if anyone was already successful. ?? thanks guys

From what I understand it's completely integrated into the computer, no way of removing it. Maybe dealer can reprogram, but I dunno 'bout that. I could be wrong though.

I am not sure about the 3rd gens. On my 01 I took the bottom of the steering column off and there are 2 wires attached to the back of the ignition tumblers. Unplug them. All of the warning functions will work except the door open alarm.

Same on my 97. I cut the wire that goes up the column to the switch. I can't remember the wire color - blue or violet?? I used a test light to find it. Someone else might know. Craig
