Making new hot pipe for first gen twins.

Now that truck is running pretty good, I decided to wear out some hacksaw blades and break out the Dremel tool and make a new all stainless hot pipe for my twins. The cold pipe stuff is beautifull, but the way my truck sits in the driveway the water drips down and is starting to rust the exhaust housings and the hot pipe. I put a couple of pictures of the first stabs at the prototype parts in my readers rigs thingy. Just made out of rusty iron for now but if it looks like it will work, I will make them over in stainless.

I told myself I wasn't going to mess with it. But, friday I ordered the material to make another set out of stainless. I don't want your hot pipe to look better than mine. I'm not going to have you're hp so I'll have to settle for this. Have you done a re-torque yet?

No retorque yet I will head to the shop on Tuesday or Wednesday to get it done. I cant wait to see what she does at full throttle.



So you are trying to one up me huh? Send me some pics when you get your new ones made.



Either way it is going to be nice to have twins on for the extra power and a major drop in egts. I think that they look fantastic even though they are made out of rusty old iron. Wouldnt want any of that shinny stuff on my Junk Yard Dog anyways.
