Well we made it to MI just fine, seems that first dealer back in OR overfilled the oil and I didn't pay close enough attention to the level on the stick when I checked it, thus I didn't have a solid baseline to gauge from. Then second dealer again overfilled by just enough to get me all spooled up worried that I had another big issue with a new truck on a long trip.

Will still get her scanned to give me piece of mind before my next trips from MI to OR and back
No kids, dogs, cats or wife this trip:) can make good time now:)

Thanks for the help guys and of course I will update if any issues

Wygate,
Glad you made it safe to MI. What part of MI are you calling home.

I will be in in South Haven MI the week of June 23 through June 29, renting a vacation cottage for the kids and grandkids for the week.

Jim,

Thank you for the support

We are in Charlevoix 49720 4hrs or more north. Not too far from the Mackinaw bridge if you make a trip to the north land while here.

Wow Jay, can't get too much further north than that! You must love winter! :D I worked in Traverse city for several weeks during the winter, erecting the steel work for a hotel, and I remember the wind being pretty wicked some days. We got hooked up with some local guys and spent a weekend over at Indian River snowmobiling, that was some good riding that weekend.

How long before you head back west? We are taking off for Wyoming the weekend after the 4th of July.

JR,
Heading out in a few day's, got too meet the movers for the house and finish loading my shop and toy Jeep, boggers don't do well at 70mph:)
As far as the north land goes, if I had my choice we would be in Houghton/Hancock MI on the Keewanaw pensunlua, sticking out into lake Superior. Our old house there would get about 25 feet of snow in a winter:)

I use to camp at the state park in Baraga MI. It was really interesting to see the older homes built before the 50's with two front doors. One on the first floor and the other on the second floor with no steps to the ground. Found out the locals would throw wooden walkways out in the winter to walk on top of the snow from the second floor.

I do not know if we will be going that far north next week the grandkids will keep us busy on the beach at South Haven.
