The Malfunction Indicator Light is on and I want to know if anyone knows any ways besides going to the service garage to reset the fault or find out what is wrong with my truck.

Have you cycled the key three time to check for codes? Mine did this last month and I had code for low boost (map sensor). After unplugging my power puck for a few days waiting on the new sensor to come, the light went off. I plugged up the puck again and the light came on again along with truck running in limp mode. Removed the power puck and bought a used Edge Ez, so far no problems with boost. JC

do the key trick,

rolltideram, we had problems on the 01 with the puck instantly throwing boost and map codes, don't run it anymore since we have the adrenaline.

Dude,

Codes can be all over the place. Just get the codes and post them. Actually, ToolManTimTaylor did a thread with all the codes listed, do a search for it.

Godspeed,
Trent

I did the key check and these are the codes that came up:

1693

0252

can someone tell me what these indicate happened to my engine

Code 0252 fuel injection pump fuel valve stuck - from Smarty code book. Doesn't sound very good...

The 1693 is a generic code that say another code was set, don't worry about this one.

Have Autozone (or a buddy with a Smarty) clear the codes and see if it gets set again.

Godspeed,
Trent

how likely is it that if I get the fault cleared that it will not come back? or would i be wishing on a shooting star for it to not come back
