Anyone know how to make the engine fan lockup?? I wonder if H&S can make it engage at a lower temp as I am using a 180* thermostat and the fan will not engage till about 210-215*.

I would be careful about changing fan lock up and thermostat open temp. What I have read is that lots of parameters are monitored by the ECM on the new Gen IV trucks and it will set codes and check engine lights if something is out of range.

Why drop to a 180°? The OEM 195° will net you more power and economy, and the fan is programmed around that temp.

There is a snowplow setting you can enable yourself or have the dealer do for you that will make the fan come on earlier and stay on longer..... Read it somewhere on a forum. Similar to turning off the seat belt chime... unplugging and replugging the seat belt with some turns of the key... .

I wasn't really asking if I should do this, but if it can be done. I'm not going to argue with y'all about temps. I just need to know if anyone knows how to make the fan lockup at a lower temp either by fooling the ECM or by changing the programming.
