Well after exhaustive research here I will ask the group this as I didn't find what I was looking for. Its seems like my 98 has begun to have issues with the neutral safety switch. When you attempt to start it,you will never know how far it needs the pedal pushed in as each time it is different. I run a EEP double with the bigger hydraulics and have no issues with the clutch at all, except for this minor glitch. After a call to the gang out in Thornville I recieved a new switch and with a day or two off coming up finally I was going to do the change. While looking at my repair manual it had a comment saying,"if the switch is malfunctioning then you need to replace the entire hydraulics". That got my mind off wandering on other possible ideas and that lead me here.

With the hydraulics on the clutch unit not malfunctioning and the clutch same as it was many miles ago, having plenty of holding power,is it possible to... .

1-Change just the neutral safety switch without a complete change of the hydraulics?.

OR

2-Eliminate the switch on the hydraulics and wire to a remote key switch which would also act as a anti-theft device so that with out it the truck would not start. I do of course realize that then the cruise would not disengage with a clutch pedal depression but thats not a worry to me.

Any ideas gang are appreciated... ... ..... Andy

I think that the remote switch would be a good idea with all the theft and crap going on around here, plus it would be sweet too. Cruise disengage with the clutch depressed? I wouldnt worry about it. Seems like I hit the brake on mine before the clutch to stop... .

Michael. .

ANY vehicle I have is for sale to someone who wants to step up to the plate with the right cash,so tell her is she speaks the right kind of green language to me she can have a very nice 12ver to play with. One thing though,I'll make sure she gets in the sale contract that you are only allowed to ride in it and not drive it,LOL. She better act fast as I am seriously thinking of putting a slushbox in it by springtime.

Now if you mean a attempt to make it dissappear by unscrupulous means I am a very good shot with my Super Redhawk and the new laser sight is what the doctor ordered for those quick aim shots,LOL... ..... Andy

P. S. -BTW,I also will make sure in the sale contract that I add that your not allowed near the truck with a paint can too... LOL.

Hammer,

I'll agree with the fact that hes NOT allowed to drive it! but as far as not goin near it with a paint can?!?! Not soo much! i think it would look good with some ghost flames... and a nice personal plate that says KTS - DZL (Katie's Diesel) haha Dont ya think id look cute in a nice done-up 98 12 valve?! :-laf

Katie

(You should feel special because this is my FIRST post!)

Dearest Katie...

So then I am guessing you would want it when I am done then?. New hood is at the paint shop and after the rockers are reshot and the stone knicks gone its all ready for the graphics man. The guy who is going to do the things I want done is in the Williamsport area and was informed by me this week to keep and eye out for a beautiful young lady who may try and schmooze her way into my truck dissappearing,LOL. Make sure I get your flame ideas before I commit to the final design and maybe two heads come up with a better idea,LOL. The Michael and the paint can deal was meant to keep his paint talents under HIS hood,LOL,:-laf :-laf . SO keep me informed as the next Thornville trip is scheduled for more work... ... . Andy

BTW...

The liscense plate idea would be better suited instead of your idea to either of these... ... "MINE" or how about telling it like it is "Just Try". I am impressed that your first post was to me also.
