Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Well-- after one year of browsing this board I've finally decided to jump in. TDR is a great resource! I learned of the TSB pertaining to the " clatter" at idle on this board. I've owned a 3rd generation for about a year (previously owned a '98, '99 and an
' 02. I like the Cummins/ Dodge to say the least. The rattle drove me nuts!
Anyway, My dealer replaced the disc ( per tsb) and I experienced the "Shudder" that many have had after the "disc only" replacement. Went back to the dealer who promptly agreed to replace EVERYTHING with approval from D/C. No clatter as of 2500 miles. Also, I had a hellasious (sp?) knock around 1500 rpm's. Turned out to be the # 1 injector. Back to D/C-- They approved the replacement of the injector and the beast runs and sounds better than the day I purchased it... What has happened to the quality control I've seen / owned for the past five years, or are we just dealing with the first year problems of the third generation???
If any of you Dodge guys and gals are traveling through South Carolina and need some QUALITY help, go to Benson's in Greer, SC, and talk to Morris!!!! He is not satisified until the preblem is corrected. Gary is THE guy to talk with @ the service desk

I shall not point a finger at the dealer from whom I purchased the '03-- I will only say that they were notified of the "clatter" @ 1500 miles and PROMISED to call me when D / C had a fix. A year later and at 28k, I haven't heard a word. Guess where I'm going to spend my next 160,000. 00 on Dodge trucks??
