those of you with a manuel throttle could you explain or send me a picture of how you connected the cable from the throttle control to the throttle linkage. i tried drilling a hole thru it and no luck. also i live where there are alot of mountains so once i set the speed it will fall quite often. what if i set the cruise lets say 5mph slower than what the manuel throttle is set at. will the cruise think something is wrong, or will it just think your going down hill alot? i know i will still have a problem going down the hills.

I just finished hooking up my manual cable this afternoon. I don't plan on using it for driving, just warm up and extended idle.
I bought a universal locking cable from Napa for $20. I drilled the mounting hole in the fake button next to my overdrive shutoff button then clamped the other end to the bottom of the dash after shortening it.
To hook to the throttle I just used a small piece of decorative chain. I wrapped it around the narrow section of the pedal mechanism, it won't slide down due to the mechanism getting wider as it goes down. The other end is just hooked to my manual cable.
The chain allows the pedal to move without any interference but I can lock it at whatever RPM I choose. Good Luck!
