Many filters are spun poly-propelene-Problem?

Working on a set-up to filter used Dino-oil. I went to lowes and got a 5 micron set-up. have not used it yet... found out the spun fiber is polypropylene-- which is a plastic.

Anyone know if that will cause problems, or will I need to get a pleated paper element?
