As indicated on many posts, I decided I should clean the MAP and AIT.

WOW! Not even a trained ape with 4 foot long arms can reach those things. Even from underneath it doesn't look good. Any helpful ideas?

I'm scared to imagine what the dealer would charge.

I remove the plug from underneath and then remove the IAT from the top. I have never heard of cleaning the MAP though.

I clean my MAP every once in a while. It does have the ability to get dirt inside the plug, especially when its really hot outside.

Remember to slide the little red thing up on the plug BEFORE you try to pull it off. Spray some "electrical parts cleaner" in the MAP plug(s) and squeeze some dielectric grease in there when its all dry.

Right in front of the IAT sensor. Driver's side of the block, in the head, waaaay in back.

FWIW, I just replaced my IAT and MAP 'cause they were filthy (80,000 miles, extensive exhaust brake usage). No change noticed by going to the new ones. I don't think I'll worry about them again 'till they actually break.
