Need some help...

I took my rig to the local diesel shop to have an ATS valve body installed after already having an ATS TC installed from elsewhere. They also installed a Pilot controller.

I arrive at the shop, pay the tab, get some basic instructions on how to operate the controller, and head out. Immediately I noticed zero power, pedal to the metal. So I brought it back and had the mechanic look at it. He said I'd have to leave it, he couldn't figure it out, used a tester it showed zero boost. He pulled the boot on the turbo and impeller was undamaged. So I had to leave it for the next mechanic to figure out. j

This morning I called to find out what happened. They told me my MAP sensor was out. Said it wasn't their fault, it just "happened". I asked if they test drove it after their install and they said it worked fine, ran like a top. Further the first mechanic stated this happens all the time and they can happen at anytime.

My question is, does their install of the throttle body and controller have anything to do with the MAP sensor? Could they have shorted the MAP if they were running diagnostics? They say its mine to pay for parts and labor, about $200, and I think its their issue, since the truck was running fine when I showed up.

I'm willing to eat my words if I'm wrong, but I thought I'd go to the real experts... all of you. What do you think?:confused:

when i installed my banks 6 gun with speedloader back in the day i couldnt get the connector off the transmission due to the grid in the connectors and thought i got the colors on the transmission wiring to 6 gun correct. wrong I tapped into one of the wrong wires and the torque converter was locked up all the time. she felt like a dog and had no power AT ALL. had to make a take the exit from neighbor hood that had a hill just so i could get the truck moving. ATS COPILOT COULD TAP INTO THE WIRES DOWN ON transmission i just never installed one to know for a fact.

oh and if you have a thorttle body you have either a hemi's and magnums engine in your dodge pickup.

Yes I meant valve body... :-laf

Come on people, someone out there must know something about this MAP sensor issue. I been bragging about the TDR and I need your help!!

IF your MAP sensor is fried or malfunctioning, the CES light should be lit, and an error code set - most likely a P0237 or P0238...
