On my father's '03 six speed w/ edge ez he is setting some DTCs. One for low voltage and one for high voltage for too long. His check engine light stays on. He gets low power and then full power intermittently. I have not drove his truck and he doesn't pay close attention to detail. Does he have a bad map sensor, bad connection, or bad EZ? We are going to unplug the edge ez to see what happens. What is the Cummins part # for the map sensor?

I have the same problem as well, but no CEL. I have a P0251, but not even sure if it is related to the intermittent low power. Mine seems to be gutless as heck when the outside temps are below 50 degrees. Sometimes it runs great sometimes it acts like it is on half power. You just never know when it is going to do it. I think it is something electronic, but I haven't had any luck yet.

I had this happen but it was because of my stupidity. I have the Adrenaline and I did not hook back up the wires to the negative battery terminal!!! What I think it did was the electronics needs a good 0 voltage for reference to control the output of the Map sensor. If you do not have one the voltage can basically float around sometimes causing high voltage, low voltage or ok Map sensor voltage. I don't know if the Edge has this kind of connection but if it does make sure it is good. Yes it ran really bad and NO boost.

The codes that has thrown were a p0236, p0237, and a p0113. The first two are Map related and the last is IAT sensor related. When my dad gets back from his trip I will see if it set any codes without the edge ez on. He doesn't have guages so diagnosis is a pita. Electronics are so much fun to trouble shoot.

Yes electronics are Fun specially when you find it is yourself that screwed up. Hope it turns out easy fix for you and simply a dirty, bad connection someplace.
