I will be installing twins in the next month or so and am gathering all the needed parts as well as thinking the job through ahead-of-time. My current 4" downpipe with a Marmon turbo flange is not compatible with the HX40 style primary turbo flange and is slid into a 4. xx" flared end pipe (ahead of the muffler) and then the slip joint was welded.
I don't have access to a o/a torch, but do have one of those some hobby MAPP torch sets. Would the MAPP be enough heat to break the welds so that I can salvage the flared end pipe or would I be resigned to using a Sawzall?
