OK Gang here is the location and some info. on the Jordan Lake
Campground. Some items to note: The gates are open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
So for those arriving on Fri. plan to get there before 7:00 (let me know if
this is a problem, we could probably get it opened for you) and for those
coming on SAT. AM don't get there too soon.

Crosswinds campground is easy to find. From Hwy 64 turn north at Wilsonville. There are good signs pointing the way. This intersection has a Stop light with 2 gas stations, caddy corner from one another. If you are coming in from the west it is after you cross the lake. If coming in from the east if you see the lake you've missed it. If you come in from the North, you must know where your going so I won't bother you. If you come in from the south, your lost already.

Also state parks do not allow alcoholic beverages, so bring a big
plastic cup to enjoy your favorite beverage.

We have never had a problem as
long as we don't flaunt it around, or get to rambunctious.
For the RV'ers the campsites are water and elec. No sewer, dumpstation is
on the way out. There is also a nice shower/restroom area. We will be
close to the restrooms. There is the possibility that if it is cold, the
water at the individual sites will not be turned on, but there is good water
available to fill your tanks.
We cannot make reservations, sites are first come first serve. I plan on
getting there about 2:00 on Fri. afternoon. I will try to reserve our sites
then. Fees are $17/night pay by cash or check (no credit card). When you
get there head for Loop B. Look for my rig Driftwood QuadCab 4x4 with a 28'
Wilderness 5th wheel. Shouldn't be very many folks there, so it will be
easy to find me.
Here is a direct link to Jordan Lake Crosswinds campground. We will be on
Loop B (probably the only
one open)

For lunch on Sat, we will try to eat at noon, I will take care of the
meat. I would like some volunteers to bring drinks, side dishes, etc. Let me
know if you can bring something.
Those coming for the day on SAT. show up whenever you desire, the
earlier the better. I still plan on installing the remainder of my gauges
for those that are interested in learning or those that want to teach me!!

Bring your lawn chairs and plan on spending the whole day with us if you
can. There is usually a day fee for visitors, but the ranger says the toll
booth won't be open yet, so no fee. I guess it is possible that you might
have to pay a couple of bucks, sorry I'm not for sure on this one.
I have ordered perfect weather highs around 70 lows in the 50's, no rain.

So don't worry about the weather I'll figure something out if need be.
Look forward to seeing you all soon,
Wes
