Directions

I 85 to Durham take Hwy 55 South (I think it is like exit 177, not for sure but it is close to that number). It isn't that difficult, I have done it with our trailer a few time. You will pass through Durham and RTP all the way to Hwy 64 in Apex. Head west on 64 (the map I posted picks up here) for several miles. You will see signs directing you to the lake areas, Look for Crosswinds campground you will turn right at a Stop Light, the signs are good you can't miss it.

I think this is the best way, unless Dustoff can tell you a better way.
We are having barbecue pig and chicken for lunch, if want to bring a side dish of some sorts that would be great. Looks like we should have about 20 people.

The campsites are first come first serve, I plan on saving some together for us if I can. Just look for the Trucks, shouldn't be many campers so it should be easy to find us.

Will you be coming in on Fri or Sat?
See you this weekend,
Wes

For those with CB if you get close look for us on Channel 15.

We got the pig and the cooker taken care of today. The weather man says it should be nice. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

yes i would take I85 to Hwy 55 in durham, and stay on #55 until you get to Hwy 64 west... . that drive from 55 to 64 is through the city of durham and probably 20-25 miles
from turn off to turn off... . going through durham will suck big time but it is a PITA to go around durham in any direction... hope things work out for ya'll and have a good time this wekend... . sorry i cannot be there, but will see ya next time i hope... later

Bring it on, charles&marge. The more, the merrier. Looks like it will be quite a turnout. Good job, Wes. For a project that was slow in forming, you really turned it around. Chris, any chance there will be enough BBQ for me to take a doggy bag to the better half? She gets just a little bored talking trucks, but she sure likes her pig. Charles, you and Marge are more than welcome to come party with us.

David

I hope to be there with my wife, Joan, her first meeting.

Hey bbomb,

Sounds like you were already going to be camping. If you don't mind those rattling, smoking trucks find a spot around us somewhere. I hope that we can get sites 27 and 29 , then a few of the singles close by. When will you be there? I think most of us will roll in Fri. afternoon. Come by on Sat. lunch for some barbecue atleast. Look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Danny,
Glad to see that you going to make it. If you would like you could bring some kind of side dish to go with the pig and chicken or a dessert type thing. I don't think we have any desserts. We are not requiring homemade goodies this time. #ad

Well the weather looks good, I have got the trailer all packed, I sure am getting excited looks like we should have around 10-12 trucks. Probably 25 folks, not a bad turnout. Thanks everyone see you this weekend.

Keith

Keith
See you tomorrow. Don't worry about what to bring the sodas will be just fine. Sorry I didn't say something sooner.

We should be there about the same time, I think Outrider might be there before you. So look for him, I hope we can get the sites around numbers B27 and B29.

Wes,
I got drinks and brownie mix (er... enough ingredients to make brownies from scratch #ad
) last night. All I've got to do is grab ice on the way. Since you're gonna be there first, or close to it, can you start a signup sheet with name, guests name, email address, handle... ? You know, all the usual info. I've got some stickers for name tags. I'm gonna try to remember my camera and some floppies. If anyone has any extra floppies, bring em. You can take your pix that way, instead of me emailing them. I'm gonna try to head out about 8:30 and should get there about 10:30 or 11:00 Saturday. If you get there and find out you forgot something, call me on my cell @ 252-266-2527. See ya'll tomorrow.

David

David ...

I'll have my digital cam with me as well . . so we can get plenty of pics! I'll be headed your way in about an hour and a half . . see ya Sat!
