Does anybody know the difference between Marine and on-road truck/car diesel? The obvious difference is price..... somewhere around $1. 03/gallon vs $2. 11  currenlty at my local Hess station.

Pretty sure it is the same except it has red dye in it, at least up here in MA it does. Be careful running summer boat diesel in the winter as it probably does not contain the anti-gel agents as well.

Marine diesel is like offroad diesel with the same fines - however, marine diesel comes in low sulfur and high sulfur like offroad diesel, and the high sulfur variant is much more common in marine stations than land. You definitely don't want to run high sulfur fuel in your CTD - the sulfur limits are 5000 ppm versus 500.
