I've read numerous posts about headgasket problems & solutions, and most mention use of a "Marine" headgasket in either . 010 or 020 over thickness.

I've called around this area and NOBODY seems to know what I am talking about.

I'll have the head back from the shop in a couple of days and need HELP and ADVICE:

HELP - Anyone know of a quick source for the "Marine" headgasket? If it is in the SE or Houston, TX area - Great - I drive there to work everyday. If I can call & order one & have it shipped to me works too.

ADVICE - Head will have minimal amount milled off to cleanup the surface. Which thickness would be more adviseable to go with - . 010" or . 020" over, and Why?

Engine is a 1999 24V. See Profile for mods.

The gasket you buy from Cummins IS the marine gasket. Unless you are going with lots of mods I would go with the stock thickness. Just did a friend's head gskt 3 weeks ago and used the standard thickness. I can't find the Cummins #. Don't buy this gasket anywhere but Cummins.

Edit Found the Cummins part # for the standard gasket 3283335

I don't think Cummins makes a marine gasket for the 24v. You have to use a 12v marine gasket and mod. it to fit. Wally19 did this to his HO. You may want to pm him or someone else who's done it.
