Marine Injectors

I am going to have my injectors replaced, the shop in my town told me they could get me new marine injectors for $65. They said it would give me 50 more horse and better fuel economy? Any thoughts on this? (Marine Injectors??????) Thanks, Alex

U'd need to acquire the PN. "Marine Injector" covers a multitude of PN's.

65 x 6? Sounds high for POD's. Those are marine type injectors. But there are a ton of injector configurations.

Sounds too good to be true. I'd get more info on the injectors, such as make, part number, number of holes in the tip etc.

I paid 43. 00 per injector some time ago for "marine injectors" from a local injection pump/turbo shop. They were new. Today, 65. 00 sounds right.



I purchased the Bosch KDAL 59P5 # 0432133875

You guys were right, I was getting kinda excited there for a while, oh well I'll keep looking, anyone know of a reputable place to get some good injectors from that dont cost an arm and a leg? Thanks, Alex

Did the shop tell ya $65 a piece? Give ya grief when asking for part numbers or # of holes?

I had marine injectors installed 3 or 4 years ago in my 98 12 v and get better fuel mileage towing but the same not towing. I know it does not make any sense. Up from 13 MPG to 16 MPG towing approx. 4,000 pounds and an average of 18 MPG not towing, same old thing not towing. For me it is a head scratcher, can't understand why my mileage is up towing but the same not towing. It seems to me mileage should have been up when not towing. When I went to 355 rear end from 410 it made no difference. REGARDS Jim -- email address removed --

No they didn't give me a hard time, but they said they would have to look at the serial number or something before they would know what kind of injectors to buy.
