My brother, a '67-'68 Viet Nam Marine veteran, has told me more than once there is no such thing as a "former Marine". After 27 years, I don't consider myself "former Army", even though I retired nearly 18 years ago.

I've always liked the term "Ex-Marine". Never cared for "former Marine"/

Yes I did the young man next door to me is getting out of Boot and we raised him more than his parents did. We plan on getting a car for him and I didnt know if the Marines had a problem with that. I guess the Services aren't that much different I had my wheels with me and dont know what I would have done without them.
