Pick your poison.

That ol' girls turned up! You'd never see those kind of numbers in Ag/construction.

Any idea what that round canister with the big wire loom is behind the IP? What is the filter below it? Secondary fuel? The one at the front looks to be a full flow oil

Marine engines have some goofy stuff on them and weird ratings. With unlimited cooling the hp is way up there but torque is down with the way they spec the prop. I think they also have a low duty cycle v/s non marine. Maybe Snowking will chime in, he had Cummins boat engines.

Says 315 hp. The left rear must be a aftercooler, see the intake heater grid? Marine duty cycles are way more since the application is always under full load. There's never a coast or cruise.

From the little I've seen they run significantly higher rpm than non Marine engines.
The cooling system looks like it's plumbed through the after cooler/exchanger. Pretty neat set up.

Note under the commercial application, as the power goes up, the duty cycle goes down.

At the bottom of the barrel for HP/high rpm, is rated intermittent.... then low hp/low rpm, is rated Heavy Duty..... medium hp/low rpm, is medium continuous.....then high hp/high rpm, it is all intermittent

Not sure what all that means but I was always under the impression that most of the marine engines were rated less than 100% duty cycle. I am not sure what the pickups ratings are tho, they might be less also.
