Today on Discovery they had a show about an Alaskan marine salvage company called Shipwrecks and Salvage. They were trying to salvage a ship that had been beached. Took them something like 275 days and 6 failed attempts to drag it off the beach.
That job seemed grueling, painful, dangerous, and the crew was probably underpaid. In other words, it was AWESOME! I would love to do something like that!
It's airing again on October 19 at 11pm. If you love big anchors, tow ropes, heavy equipment, and pullin' stuff, you might consider having a look at the show.
