Mark Bayer converted owners, need your help

I called and talked with someone in the front office at Bayer Auto.



considering the fact that i was asking them how they do something, so i could do it for myself, they were more than helpful. very nice group of people up there.

So, give us the scoop and tell us their method. their conversions look to be as good as factory.

they are using a combination of fabricated (stamped) parts and actual Dodge cab and door parts.



I was questioning how to build the post between the front and back doors and which of two ways, i could think of, to build the back doors. now i know how, without wasting parts and time trying to figure it out.



sounds simple once you hear it. just hard to imagine



I now have everything i need to do my truck, i plan to get started soon. i will keep you all posted with pictures of my progress. the only thing i have waivered on is the front air ride is going to have to wait. i dont want to live with only 4" of travel. the back is still a go.

can you stack the bags for 8" of travel?

you can get double and even triple convoluted bags for as much as 12" of travel. but they are 8-10" in diameter and i am not sure about if they can bend/arc or have to be mounted so the travel is absolutely straight or not. or i can back the bag mounts up the control arms to achieve more travel out at the end.



i just have so much other stuff to work on, i will just put a 5 or 6" lift on the front until things settle down.

Got a guy who just became a M-D member Todd that has a 4-corner air bag system and a complete in cab control setup,,Tricked out ladder bars for rear and front control arms are really something to see,,It has 10-12" of travel and can be set down in any configuration(front to rear,front or rear,all at once,etc etc etc),,Truck can actually be set right on top of the large Mickey tires if you want,,Frame is completely Rhino coated and detailed as are the rears and all suspension parts,,We took some pics and as soon as I get my scanner up and repaired I'll make sure you get some to look at,,Truck is the most impressive one I have seen in a long time,attention to detail is impressive and it does not lack any power either... . BTW my wife keeps adding to the honey-do list and spending my truck money, 350' of home made picket fence (2 weeks to build and paint), kitchen floor (tile none the less), now new carpet in three rooms of the house i dont know how much more of this i can take. someone, have your wife call her for me

back on topic:



if anyone out there in TDR land has or has access to a Bayer truck i need something? i need a picture of the center post between the front and rear doors. one from the driver opening and one from the rear opening. a picture says a thousand words!
