Ever wonder what goes into the designing and engineering of a full-size pickup truck like the all-new Ram Heavy Duty? Well here’s your chance to find out! Join us Tuesday December 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST right here at the Turbo Diesel Register for a 1.5 hour open Q&A session with 2010 Ram Heavy Duty and Cummins diesel engineers. During the event, RAM and CUMMINS engineers will be on hand to field all of your hard hitting questions.

We agree that this event should be open to any and all interested parties, not just current TDR Members. So, if you are not a current TDR Member, this is your chance to check us out. Log in now and set up your free trial membership. We encourage you to invite other non-TDR members to join up for this event as well. Simply click below to activate your online account and get ready to join the discussion on December 8.

https://www.turbodieselregister.com/TDR_Test_Drive_2005.htm

Please help us spread the word about this exciting LIVE event here at turbodieselregister.com!

As a lead-in to the event, and to help prepare the engineers for the Q&A, we would like to have you start thinking about what you're going to ask, and come prepared to type! And, if you cannot join us live on December 8, we've set up a forum for you to pre-submit your questions.

Preparation:

<INSERT link><STEVE, what if they are an expired member? How we give them free days? 60 do>1 - Effective November 9, we will dedicate one forum to the “Ask the Engineer event.” Here is a link: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/dodge-cummins-tech-talk/217616-upcoming-tech-talk-dodge-cummins-engineers-submit-questions-here.html#post2101055. Begin posting the questions you would like addressed that day by a Ram or Cummins engineer. You do not have to post your questions in advance. We are setting up this option to allow individuals who cannot attend on December 8 to get their questions addressed.
2 - Direct your questions to the Ram or Cummins engineering teams.
3 - Limit each post to one or two questions; clarity and brevity work best. However, there is no limit to the number of questions you can ask.
4 - Review existing posts to avoid repeat questions.
5 - Keep questions on topic and related to the 2010 Ram HD powered by the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel.

The Event:

1 - Tune in between 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. to be a part of the discussion.
2 - If you did not post your questions in advance, post them now using the guidelines provided above.
3 - The Ram and Cummins engineering teams will be answering your questions live via TDR discussion forum.
4 - During the event, allow the Ram and Cummins engineering teams to supply the answers. Remember, this is not about member discussions.
5 - Questions will not be answered in order of post, so be sure to allow time for a response.
6 - Questions regarding a specific dealer cannot be answered in this venue.
7 - Questions regarding future products cannot be address in this venue.
8 - Questions regarding the overall business of Cummins or Chrysler Group LLC cannot be addressed in this venue.

With all of the details and disclaimers properly noted, I want everyone to realize this is a special event. I just returned from the press introduction of the 2010 Ram Heavy Duty truck. One word describes this truck, Outstanding! Please realize that I do not use superlatives often. For me, “Outstanding!” equates to a level of enthusiasm that I’ve not had in the past eighteen months. Chances are you may feel the same about this past year. Time to snap out of the indifferent attitude. We’ve got a new truck to talk about, and it is backed up by some very inspired engineers, sales, and service support staff.

To get you started, take a few minutes to read TDR’s Steve St. Laurent’s write-up on the new truck (https://www.turbodieselregister.com/articlelive/articles/207/1/2010-Ram-HD-Launch-Press-event-coverage/Page1.html). You will find it very informative and well written.

I am hopeful that I can transfer some of my enthusiasm to you. I have already had my opportunity to “Ask the Engineers” at the press introduction. Here is your chance to do the same.

So remember to mark your calendars now for the Tuesday, December 8, “Ask the Engineer” event – 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. If this time of day finds you in rush-hour traffic or at the end of your business day, we still want your participation. Log on to the website and begin posting your questions now. We will provide a downloadable summary of the information shared at the event to anyone with an interest. And I’m sure we will be publishing a condensed version in the next issue of the Turbo Diesel Register.

I look forward to your participation in this event.

Robert Patton
Editor, TDR
[/RAW]
