Not really revelent to dodge diesels but I am intrested to hear what the word is. All I currently know is that galvinized metal is no good because it can plug the lines and injectors. I am trying to figure out how to retro fit a gas tank on a jeep wrangler to accept diesel fuel. When I get to that part of the project if I cannot figure it out I most likely build my own. What are the essential componets of a gas tank.

Filler neck, fuel to engine line, return line. What about the inside. Is there sponges?

any help would be great... . thanks

You should be able to just use the factory tank and fill it with diesel. It would be the easiest way to go... unless your modifications eliminate the option.

You can build a tank out of steel or aluminum. Each has advantages and disadvantages. Probably the most important points will be what you can work with and if weight is a major concern.

If you MUST build a fuel tank, it can be done. However, it takes a lot of time to do a nice job. Keep us posted.
