Max AC wont work!

I went to trun on the AC yesterday and when i trued it to max there is barely anything comeing out of the vents put when i trun it to normal it blows just fine, whats the deal here, do i have to crack the dash open to fix this?

AC troubles...

Does the blower work on high? Does it work on high at the other locations? Could be a vacuum hose problem under the hood if the airflow does not change from floor, to dash, to defrost.



It could also be the vacuum control on the back of the switch. Turn the blower on to the slowest speed and turn the switch and see if you hear a hiss from a vacuum leak.



Of course the obvious thing is, it could just be the switch. Good luck.

Check the recirculation air intake down by the floor. Mine ate a plastic bag and acted the same as your description.

The dealership knocked a connection loose on a small vacuum line while they were under the hood of my 97 and caused a similar problem.
