Max Brake Impression

UPS just delivered my repaired max-brake that I had busted the handle out of and they shipped and repaired without any charges to me. You just cant beat service like that. Now I have to get inventive and mount it where it cant be damaged again.

That is the only complaint I have with max brake design ! That sliding handle has to go. Where I had it mounted in my truck, cut my leg up #@$%!. Brake smart did it better with the push slide so the case is smooth all the way around. Wish max brake would do the same

Can you 4th gen guys mount it in the cubby under the fan controls like I did in my 2005 with my Brakesmart??

PS --not dissing the MaxBrake, but I DO like the looks and design of the case of the Brakesmart more then the MaxBrake.

I agree with your comment comparing the BrakeSmart and MaxBrake. I prefer the looks and design of the BrakeSmart also but since it can't be purchased new any longer the MaxBrake is clearly the best brake controller money can buy.

I finally mounted mine at the bottom of the tip out cupholder and it is easier to see it there and hopefully some big footed ox doesnt set in the middle and knock it apart with his shoe. Have to do something with the previous holes under the steering wheel. Had Jordan there before maxbrake so have two sets of holes to fill. The cupholder will not tip clear down now but have the Geno's add on cup holder on the console so ok until I have to haul 3 in front seat. That only happens when we go rafting on the Lower Salmon.

I want to say THANKS to Diana and her husband at Plug it Right for the help I recieved. I got a used Max Brake and needed some info I could not find. I called them and they helped me with the wiring even though I didn't buy it from them. Have to give them props and a Big Thanks.
