I have 6 months left on my 3 year 36,000 mile manufacturer bumper to bumper warranty. I have the max care for 7 years/70,000 miles. Currently have 21,000 miles on the truck so i will not likely rack up more than 70,000 miles in the remaining 4.5 years. Has anyone had repairs denied under the Max Care warranty?

Maxcare as in the extended warranty from CarMax?

The Ram is the second car I bought from them, the first being a 2009 BMW X5 diesel we still owned. I bought Maxcare for the X5 I was extremely pleased as it covered things that normally won't even be covered by BMW warranty. Prime example is the front suspension bushings which were covered by Maxcare but would have not been by BMW's. So far I've sued it to cover a side view mirror motor, radiator, front hydraulic sway bar (was seeping oil, but they replaced the whole thing at a tag of $3K), the front suspension bushings (they are filled with hydraulic fluid). Every claim was approved no problems. All parts were genuine BMW.

I bought it for the Ram too, it covers for 6 years and up to 150K miles with a $200 deductible. I think it was a couple of grands. I haven't got a chance to use it on the Ram.

So all and all my experience is very positive as so far nothing got denied nor got any sort of run around.

I had a 100k/7 year MaxCare for my 2005 under Daimler Chrysler. DC took care of the few problems I had with my truck and paid all the claims through the dealer. That being said, I hear (anecdotally) that FCA might be harder pressed to pay a warranty claim then DC was, but have no experience with that…for me it was a very good warranty.
