Does anyone know when the Max-Tow Package will be available?, from what I understand that is over and beyond the new 800 tq part, also I understand the mirrors become telescopic, and the cruse control goes back to steering wheel buttons, if this is all 2012 stuff, are there any dates yet?

I guess I didn't do my homework, from what I now understand the Max-Tow is the 800 tq enhanced engine "HO", and that comes with the new rear axle, trans cooler torque converter, and trans valve body, and a couple other things, the telescopic mirrors are a 2012 thing, anyway I am going to visit the local Dealer today and see what goes on ordering a 2011,

Not to pick nits, but I believe the Max Tow requires the 4. 10 final drive ratio. In other words, a Cummins HO might have all the other upgrades, but if it has a 3. 73 final drive, I don't believe it's considered a Max Tow.

. . . and my understanding is that the items listed in the op's description plus the 4. 10 you mentioned provides the 30,000k gcvwr.

Is that what you remember?

Edit:

Added the overlooked "c" to gcvwr.

Harvey, that was my recollection from the announcements - the HO, upgraded drivetrain and 4. 10 gears on the 3500 dually constituted the Max Tow.

Of course, as the manufacturers are quick to state, "Specifications are subject to change without notice. " :-laf

No, I never pay any attention to the post number, I just spend too much time here running my mouth through my fingertips.

I guess my 10k post is a reply to your question.

I just returned from the local Dodge Dealer, I had the General Manager that he would agree to what I wanted to pay " less than invoice", but he couldn't build it on his computer, He said they would call Chrysler and see what the problem is, his guess it is to late for a 2011 with HO engine, His computer had no 2012 information, and yes I always planned on a 4:10 axel

Now that you posted that comment I think I remember someone else stating that the window of opportunity to order and buy a 2011 was going to be very narrow, perhaps had already closed. I probably read that on TDR somewhere.

Follow this web site and it will tell you about Start, Stop, Run dates for all manufacturers,Makes it simple for ordering a new truck. I Have a friend that went to ford(gag) this week and was told the had a problem getting parts for the Nav sys so the only order they would place was without the Nav sys. !!!! Japan not makin the parts.
