Last post was 2013 so I want to know if any has new contact info for Max Brake. Mine is now malfunctioning and I need some help. Never mind, I fixed it.

They never came back up to the surface we have access to displays and slide pot. What seems to be the problem?

Glad you fixed it. While MB has gone out of business and cannot be contacted. Dutch & I are always willing to help a MB customer any way we can. I can't say we have been able to help everyone but we sure have had our fair share of success stories in bringing a non-working controller back to life. I'm here if you need me at 941-416-0918 10 am to 10 pm 7 days a week {central time right now} or e-mail me at -- email address removed --. Hugs, Di

Have been running my MaxBrake for years and recently someone ran a red light and it has not behaved properly since. It sometime works and other times it wont engage the brakes, I am so bummed! Just replaced it with a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 and I hate it. I really do not understand how people tow with these things, it's TERRIBLE. Sigh... I think the unit is salvageable if there was someplace that knew a little about it and did electronic repair... Unfortunately the repair shop that replaced it cut the brake electric wire to remove it and pissed me off. Would not have had insurance replace it if I had know that. I cannot express how much I am bummed. Anyone got any thoughts on a place to hopefully repair?

@Greg Chapman, From what you're describing, sounds like it could have been the trailer socket on the truck not making good contact or the manual override switch needed to be cleaned. I'm a bit surprised with such a wide array of backgrounds on here that someone that worked with electronics wouldn't want to take a crack at it. I will always take a quick look at things like that of mine that have given me grief to see if it's something that could be fixed. If it's a chip that's crapped out, not worth the trouble as finding it sometimes proves difficult! Diodes, resistors or switches can readily be replaced. I'll keep me eyes open for any of these units and when found will post. Good luck and the Prodigy takes a bit of tweaking to get used to! Have one in the 1500 and has served me well.
