Just finished installing my new MaxBrake H over E Brake controller, easy breezy job. The only thing I would do different if I had known is buying a short nipple to mount the pressure sensor instead of the six inch piece of tubing that they supply. Tomorrow I’ll hook up the horse trailer and give it a test drive.

The max break is the only way to go. i have a 35 foot toyhauler fifthwheel. what a difference it makes. The vehicle breaks as one unit now and so smooth

I agree 100 percent, I took my horse trailer (10,000 lbs. ) out for a test run this afternoon, once I found the appropriate gain setting for my rig everything stopped as a unit, very smooth, my horses are going to send me thank you cards after there next trip. If you're going to spend a small fortune on an RV of any kind, why not invest in the equipment to help operate it safely, just my opinion of course.

I've been using a MaxBrake since I got the '08. It is by far the best controller I ever used since the old Kelsey Hayes in the 70's.

I totally agree. I hauled RVs out of the Goshen Indiana area for 5 months this summer and had a MAXX-brake. After a couple of loads it quit working because of a shorted cable. I could not find anyone near who had one so I HAD to grab what I could to get out of town with the load I had. I bought a CURT inertia controller and HATED it. Very jerky, like an on-off switch and I had a terrible time finding the correct settings. As soon as the replacement cable arrived I was back to smooth braking again, almost like the truck hydraulics extended all the way to the trailer wheels. It's the only one I will ever use from here on.

To the original poster-

I had a local Hydraulic Hose company make up an 18” (?) hydraulic brake hose with the proper end fittings to go between the Master Cylinder adapter Tee and the Pressure Transducer. I attached the transducer to a hole in the firewall pinch weld with cable ties. The cost of the flexible brake hose was about $25.

I agree with the other posters the MaxxBrake controller IS the BEST on the market bar none!
