Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Maximum inlet pressure to a P-pump?

Now that I'm trying to shim my overflow valve to get more pressure, does anyone know what the maximum allowable inlet pressure is to a p-pump. My Airdog has a 40 psi spring so it won't go over 40 psi. But I'm curious.

Last time I checked my pressure it was 32 psi at idle . should do a bit better than that at 2000 but it depends on your throttle position . don't know the max either hope you get some more input.
