Does anyone know what the maximum angles, in pitch and yaw, the ISB in the Dodge can be run at without getting into problems with the oil system? I emailed Cummins and they said ask Dodge, because the oil pan design is a bit different than the usual ISB.

For now... just wait till I start designing them (airplanes, not the Cummins)... there WILL be a Cummins in an airplane someday... mark my word... .

Can't seem to find it but there was an issue with the ascent angle about 17%(or degrees) or something that would cause crankcase oil to pump out the vent tube.

I finally got the opportunity to examine the cutaway common rail engine when it was displayed at NAIAS this year. I noticed that the oil pickup tube is all the way at the back of the engine, runs along most of the width of the oil pan, about 1 inch forward of the rear pan wall. Maximum positive (nose up) and side (roll) angles should be very high, but maximum negative angle (nose down) is probably somewhat low. I'll have to take some measurements of the pan to work out what the real maximums would be...
