So the auto trans "trailer tow rating" assumes a truck curb weight of 16,000 lbs GCWR - 9,800 lbs trailer weight, or 6,200 lbs.
The manual trans "trailer tow rating" assumes a truck curb weight of 20,000 lbs GCWR - 13,700 lbs trailer weight, or 6,300 lbs.
Back to my point on trailer tow ratings - how realistic are these assumed truck curb weights? Also, notice that the "trailer tow ratings" completely ignore the truck's GVWR and the pin weight the trailer may impose on the truck (a huge deal with a 5th wheel!)
