Hey all, first post here.

I just bought my new truck last Monday at Maxwell Dodge, 183 & 620, in Austin, TX. I bought a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT 4x2 with CTD. I forget all the extras it had on it, but some of them include:

Lonestar package

Anti Slip Differential

Metallic Slate Gray(?) paint

Automatic transmission

Aluminum wheels

Front tow hooks

Sticker price on the truck was $38055, and I offered them $33000. Of course they didnt take my offer, however they did put the invoice down in front of me which was $34189, the truck had come from another dealership. They offered me the truck for $34500, plus all rebates/incentives. They also gave me $1000 for my trade - 1995 F-150 with 165,500 miles. I ended up getting the truck for $29500 plus TTL & extended warranty. They sold me the warranty for $1550 which was a 7/70k (I think, would have to look), bumper to bumper.

Total amount financed out the door was $33k and change.

Does this seem like a good deal? It did to me or I would not have bought it :D

My buying experience with Maxwell was really comfortable and straight forward. Although it was an all day adventure, most of it was my reluctance to wanting to buy, and test driving several vehicles. Just wondering if anyone else had anything good to say about Maxwell Dodge?

Oh yeah, here is a picher :D

Craig, Welcome aboard and I think you did well on that nice looking rig. Anytime you can work them around invoice without buying a plane ticket is, in my book, a good deal.

Congratulations on the new "baby". Now quit the site before you find out about the power that is hidden under the hood. :)

Mike

Congrats and welcome...

I've bought 2 vehicles from Maxwell, my 01 was the first. I got 'em at the Taylor store. Jeremy Jones makes some good deals, Nice lookin' truck.

Hey, if you're happy with it then it's a good deal ;) . I think you did fine. It will pull that little trailer you have in the picture like there's nothing hooked up to it.

Edge Juice with attitude and a full set of gauges would sure be handy :D

I am also an audio buff as well, already trying to plan an all out audio ensemble to install :-laf

You get ready to buy, let me know. The sales guys pay out for referrals. If you go there and buy a truck, they could send me $100 for a referring you :D

I aint never had a dollar I couldnt use... lol

I bought a new 99 3/4 ton from them(in Taylor). Deal was pretty straight forward and they took care of the warranty work as expected. I installed a Banks system and talked to the service manager about it and he told me that anything engine or power train related was my own problem but any other warranty problems he would work with me on. At least he was honest about it--no surprises. Bought my last truck in Giddings--better deal on new truck and better trade in allowance. Remember if you Bomb it you become your own warranty station!!!

Doesn't sound like a bad deal but could have been sweeter. Invoice and less is not hard to find on these trucks thankfully but it sounds like you did alright.

I bought this baby, will be one year ago Dec 31 from Maxwell Dodge hwy 620. Not sure if she is still there, but Mellisa Maybury was my sales person. I paid $33K OTD for my truck new, and they gave me $10K for a 2002 Honda Civic with 42K miles. I would certainly shop there again.
