Does anyone have the Maxx Stak heavy duty cast aluminum leveling kit w/ Shox-xtender installed? What do you think, how much are they, etc. Thanks.

I'm about to replace all four ball joints, and want to level the truck at the same time since I'll have it all apart. I really can't afford the $500 for the Kore springs right now, so does anyone have opinions on 1) do I just wait to put the springs in at another time or 2) put spacers in for now?

I was thinking of the Kore Leveling Kit, but money is tight right now , I have looked at a company called HellBentSteel.com. looks like high quality, reasonably cheap.

I really wanted something other than simple front blocks when I decided I needed bigger tires. I ended up buying the Hell Bent for Steel 2" spacers for my '04 2500 long bed. I spent the rest of my money on Bilstein 5100 series shocks (they are made for lifted trucks). I added 1" blocks in the back to get the right look (needed to get new u-bolts to do that). I have been happy with what I have. I don't launch the beast, but it handles very well on washboard logging roads. I'm rolling BFG 315's on the stock 17" steel rims. I have no rubbing. The HBS blocks are so reasonably priced that it wouldn't be a big mistake if you tried them first. There is a lot of opinions about whether you need longer shocks. You probably want to do some research of your own. I went with the shock upgrade; just because.

i had the hellbent steels on my '01 and pulled them out when i traded it in and put them in my '05, i have over 80k on the set with no problems on either truck, i also had an 8' commercial plow on the '01 while the leveling kit was installed. I would highly recommend them as an inexpensive alternative to the kore
