We have a Fantastic Fan in the Front Bedroom and a MaxxAir in the back bunk room.
I think the MaxxAir is louder on its lowest speed setting but quieter on the highest.
What I do is put the Fantastic Fan over our bed on low drawing air in and the Maxxair in the back drawing out. Gives us great air flow and almost elimintates the need for AC at night (especially here. If an when it gets to cold the thermostat in the fron on the FF shuts it off and the Maxxair just continues to run expelling a little stale air.
I also turn the Maxxair on its highest setting with a vent open in the front when going down the highway in the summer. It really keeps it cooler (only as cool as the outside air) but it eliminates that shut up extra hot feeling when you get to where your going.
As a side note if you get the Maxxair I would recommend you do a little extra caulking around it and the roof. I did not think it was drawing all the air out that it could si I applied some rubber roof caulking around it and it eliminated any suction from under it and the outside with all the air now coming up and out of the camper.
