Self resetting breaker pops while generator runs

How might I tear this apart & adjust the electrical feedback to stop the motor upon closing?

Before you tear into it, call MaxxAir. IIRC, there's a microchip the measures the electrical draw on the motor when it stalls upon opening/closing and stops it when it reaches fully closed or fully open.

I had a gear box failure... I found that one bolt prevents you from doing this from inside the coach... I had to pull the cover to replace the gear box... once I had it out and off I could re-install the new one from inside the coach.. simple repair and the part was only like $10-15....

Just called MAXXAIR [316-832-4357] Tech Services. Dale asked a few questions re: my RV purchase. He guided me to twist the "legs" holding the inside screen in place. Removing this, unveils the Model & S/N's. [For the record, mine is: MAXXFAN-Smoke 4900K, S/N 2013-02-4900K-0239] I had to photograph it to read it!

Dale is sending me a replacement 'gear box assy.' to our KOA. He said it sounds like a broken tooth. I thought it acted like an electrical limit was out of adjustment, we'll see in a week what transpires, eh. I'll try to remember to update this thread, as I appreciate it when others do.

MAXXAIR RV Fan repaired...easy.

MAXXAIR sent me a replacement gear assy. based upon my reported RV purchase date; no other questions. Got onto roof, Wife operated unit at my direction, 2 Phillips screws, some thoughtful, logical positioning of its gear box shafts per instructions & walla, done deal. My gear assy had a broken tooth. Seems like the electronics may be sensing current to shut down operation, don't know. Good luck with this easy repair.
