Lease fixin' to run out on wifes Cherokee and I had the bright idea of replacing it with a new 2500 Ram with an auto trans this time (she won't (can't) drive 5 speed) I figured on letting her drive the new one, and then putting it to work as mine will have about 200K miles by then.
BUT DC has decided I'll buy what they want to sell, not what I want to buy, (went thru this with GM in 93, so bought a Dodge)
What I'm looking for is a 2001 4X4 QuadCab with 3. 55 ratio (web site sez'4. 10 only)
Also want cloth seats (Hate leather in South) but want power seats both driver and Passenger. Since DC won't build a crew cab, and I can get what I want in Ford, may have to go that way.

Denny, you can get 3. 54 gears. I know that you can get power seats on both sides with the leather, but am not sure about cloth. You can get the dealer to take the leather skins off the seats and swap them for cloth and keep the power, but may be a little pricey. You are not going to get a crewcab in a dodge for 2 more years. If you want a ford get one, the only things I have found that I really don't like is that they seem to develop interior rattles pretty bad and they cost a fortune to upgrade power.

STROKED,,Think your a victim of sun stroke here,,The 3. 54 is available check with your dealer,,Had the same problem with my wife and a 5 speed in my truck(HATES IT),,After updating her to a Durango awhile ago,and her unwillingness to drive a stick she drops a bomb on me last nite,,Dealer friend of mine where we got the Dingo at,got a Driftwood 99 Quad short bed 24 valve in,SO guess where we are going on Monday?? OH well guess worse things could happen,like hitting my head or the valve on my oxygen bottle breaks,thus inducing a need for a Powerlesspuke like yours,,ARGH!!! Save him group, the man is in need of help!!!!!

Thanks everybody -- It ain't over yet, but i'm thinking hard, maybe I'll just go drive the Phord and maybe get it out of my system. Hate to spend extra $$ to have option down grades. Got until Middle of June to have replacement vehicle on hand!

One of each surely can't be a bad thing. I have no rattles... the Cummins didn't rattle either. A 75Hp/140ftlb chip is $300. 00. A 3. 5" downpipe and complete 4" exhaust system is $550. 00. A propane system is $400. 00. A Banks Big Head Actuator is $75. 00. All of this gets you up to 400/850. Guages to watch it all is another $350. 00. I will gladly drive either truck in a CREWCAB configuration. I would take a Quad Cab Cummins... the kids would just hate the RVing without the big back seat... CJ

I'm waiting for my 2500 QC auto SLT. It has the cloth seat and I added the power seats (both sides) with power lumbar support for $309. The seat has it all except, heat, which comes with the SLT+.

The web site listed 4. 10 only (I think with the LSD option), but it does come with the 3. 54 standard.

The quad cab is the closest right now to the crew cab. Just think of all the other benifits of a Cummins tho - simple design, better milage, yada, yada, yada...

You might want to order the SLT+ package and then add covers. If you joint the farm bureau $500 + the $1000 from Dodge you only have to pay about $500 more for this option. Then both of you get the better seats with the lumbar support.

Also, you might want to order your truck from melton sales(tulsa), they sell at $250 below invoice.

I don't know how many people I have had tell me they wanted to get a CTD but had to have the full 4 doors. I don't blame them, either. HELLO DODGE!? Maybe you should put off a crew cab an extra year more. Hey, you could cut down on warranty claims even more #ad
Think about it, the less customers you have, the less warranty claims #ad
