HAD A GREAT TIME!

Thanks Eric for sharing the pictures; I didn't get around to taking any.

A BIG thanks to Joe and the event crew! Without their dedicated effort the event would have never happened.

Thanks, too, to the vendors (in no particular order):

Advanced Turbo Systems

BD Power

Mag-Hytec

Eric Buckel Winter Fronts

TST Products

The Trans Shop

EGR Brakes

Rory Sena & Mark Wendtland, Amsiol

ATS Diesel Performance

Lawrence Enterprises, Brake-Guard

Mr. Bob's

Bully Dog Technologies

Desert Dodge (Test Drives!)

I know there were a couple more, please forgive my forgetfulness.

It was great to see some people that I'd met a previous events and meet new friends as well. Pearl (my little white dog ;) ) had a great time and enjoyed meeting everybody! :D

Thanks again for an enjoyable event!

Steve

Great pictures Eric did you or anyone else ge any pictures of when I went sideways spinning all four rears? I would sure like to buy any prints or video of that run?

Bruce

No I missed that... Would have liked to see it though. ... .

Here is my new Taillights. Got them at an accessory store in vegas

<img src=https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/sizeimage.php?&photoid=5178&width=2/src img>

Neat thing, I went from St. George Ut, to a St park called Valley of fire then to vegas and the running around there then back up to 70 mi north of st george to Summit at 513 miles and got an average of 18MPG. (not towing) and then from there, driving easy at 70 and trying to get the best MPG I can, pulled into SAlt Lake City at 22. 2 on the overhead comp. Ususaly when I am driving easy, the computer will read lower than hand figuring but I also have a 1% error on the odometer so it might work out to about 22 or so. Not bad for a 8000 # truck!!

Maddog broke out his tool box to go from 572 to 686 hp in one easy jump. Either number is plenty good but he needed the extra because he was in the West where real horsepower is found. Oo.

He'd never use a shift spike to raise a dyno number. :D

Performance Diesel 12v Race Injectors

Sled, Richard was installing a set of custom Performance Diesel (my) 12v race injectors in preporation for another dyno run. Even though he had aftermarket injectors already in when he first dynoed, he still picked up over 110 hp with my lil goodiesOo.

I don't think this is common knowledge, but he busted a third input shaft the weekend before MM:eek:

YUP!!! I watched the whole danged thing from up in the stands. SOOOOOOooo cool!!!

Folks, in general the diesels were hammering the locals with authority. We are talking mostly ricers, camaros, and mustangs etc.

So this silver 2wd dually leaves the line and about 250 feet out the rear left tires haze and next thing I see is the truck is making a right handed U-turn!!! It appeared that the driver blipped the throttle and when it straightened out he got back on it.

This was WAY cool to watch! I looked aroung to see if any of the kids had checked this out but they were too busy keeping their hash pipes lit:D

So the diesel trucks lost very few races and our group had a ball in the stands till the conclusion at 2AM.
