IRP "Live" Thread 2008!!!

Well, we are just a couple months away from May Madness guys. Thought I'd bring this back up to the top, noticed that a lot of people have been viewing this thread - maybe a little information will be forthcoming about the schedule of events??

Dutch and I had to miss last year-we had been to 4 in a row-but we're not gonna miss this year!!! Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Diana

So what day will be the dyno day? Drag races too? My friends and I probably wont be able to make it down till thursday night due to work! I've been waiting to get this beast on to the dyno!!Oo.

Dyno is on Thursday the 8th in front of Saitta Trudeau Dodge. Just look for all the black smoke and firetrucks.

I haven't seen anything in the schedule for racing or pulling.

This may seem like a silly question but my wife wants to know: What's the dress code for the May Madness banquet on Saturday night? She wants to know what to pack.

Let's see - Genos ballcap, May Madness Polo shirt, jeans/shorts - if really hot got diesel tank top/shorts for sure - anything about trucks or truck related logos - could there really BE a dress code?? My guess - whatever makes your day/night

comfortable. I bet if you have a Cummins tatoo as long as it isn't on some part of your anatomy no one really wants to see, you could come with that exposed.

I'm sure someone who has been there before will chime in, I'm just speculating on what other truck events have been about, this one could be different.

yea,it's pretty casual at the banquet... . clean jeans, shirt of your choice, etc ..... pretty much anything goes!!!... . what happens in Vegas... hehe:-laf

Oops! Sorry, I forgot that I'd logged on and asked the question earlier. Thanks for the replies. I'm glad it's casual. Prevents me from having to pack something that I'm not supposed to let get wrinkled!

ARedmond, I posted this the other day but it didn't get through so I'll post it again.

Not silly at all. I can't speak for the others but I like to dress up a

bit. I usually wear slacks blouse and heels or skirt, blouse and heels and

Dutch wears slacks and a shirt and has worn a dinner jacket. Others prefer

to be very casual. I think it's really what you would like to wear. Hope

this helps, Diana

I sent my registration form and check to Joe a couple of days ago.

This will be my first May Madness but not my first TDR rally. I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks for the dress code info guys (and Diana). I just didn't want to look out-of-place (again)! Glad its pretty casual. The wife likes excuses to dress up occassionally though, so she might don her Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes. This is our first May Madness and we don't know what to expect really. Got a daughter graduating college here on the 3rd so we're having to fly out there on Monday, the 5th. Not easy to pack a suit so I'll be going casual.

Dress is definately casual. Dyno will probably be in Nugget parking lot rather than by Saitta/trudeau. Will have the Rodeo alongside dyno. Hopefully more folks will try the Rodeo this year. I believe there will be classes for competition.

i live in las vegas if you didn't know and i would like to check this event out. is it a big deal? will i have an issue getting an RV spot? i have many friends in Pahrump so i guess if i had to i could get someone to at least let me park at their place. is there a web site that details the events and schedule? are there CTD's for sale? i'm lookin for a 94-98 3500 for my son.

We were going to be there last year. Joe said don't bother. So I guess we will not come down to the event this year either. We miss being there with you all. We have had a good time in years past. I heard that it was all about a NADP transmission that was in our both space. I don't know, it's all too wierd for me. Maybe things will change but we have many other events that we are welcome at. Thanks

I did not say don't bother. I said you were welcome. I just said some one complained that another vendor piggy-backed on your booth, and not to let that happen.

A complete schedule is generally not ready until days before the rally---lots of last minute changes. The basic schedule is this:

registration Monday on thru the week,

some talks Tuesday

Get-together Tues evening

RV/Safety day, Wednesday

Drag racing at the Strip Wedn evening

Dyno Day Thursday

Ram Rodeo Thursday

Hall of Gotta-havits and vendor talks Fri and Sat

Show n shine Sat

Banquet, awards and give-aways Sat night
