do I have to register and pay the $80 just to be a spectator? I'm spending the 80 on fuel to get there. I'm not planning on doing the dyno, or pulls. just look.
Yeah, there are approximately 100 of us here in Preferred RV Resort and I don't know how many in other locations. All day long you can hear the beautiful music of Cummins B motors rumbling back and forth in the host RV park.
Yep, Dutch & I arrived on Sunday and still haven't had a chance to hug everyone yet. Lots of activities and a great pot luck this evening. Great weather and and beautiful scenery: Thats Mountains AND Dodges!!!. Diana
My first May Madness and wont be the last. Everyone is so friendly it's unreal. Drove from Sacramento to Pahrump on early Monday morning and set the cruise right at 60MPH and got 21. 8MPG. Not bad for a 3rd gen. For all of you that did not make it, you missed a good thing. I wanted to see Joe's truck on the roller making over 600HP with that BD twin turbo setup he had but to my disappointment his CP3 was not working properly so he did not post decent #s. An orange truck made 741HP. Man that truck did not sound right idling. It sounded like it was misfiring... maybe the wild P7100 pump he had caused the weird sound. Anyway, my wife and I are planning to return next year God willing.
Got home yesterday afternoon. Just wanted to say thanks to the whole May Madness crew for another year of hard work for a great event. Lots of great info and people to talk to.
I also dynoed my new 6. 7. I have the juice w/att on it so I did my two runs, one with the juice turned off, and one with it all the way to #5. The first was 266 HP, and the second was 385HP. No kidding. I couldn't hardly believe it.
This is going to be one heck of an engine once we all figure out how to build horsepower with it. My next step will be an ATS torque converter before I add any power mods. Hopefully it will only be a couple more weeks and it should be available. THen time to re dyno and then time to turn it up!!!!
We hugged everyone goodbye this morning after yet another great May Madness. Our hats off to everyone involved in all that it takes to put on this event. The weather cooperated. Safety Day and the seminars were well attended. There were plenty of things to do when we weren't talkin` trucks. The Hall of Gottahavits had lots of things to ooh and aah over. The food at the banquet was really, really good and the "entertaining" ways of John Holmes and Joe Donnelley kept us laughing for several hours. There were lots of awards and certificated handed out too!! Oh, we can't forget to mention we all sang Happy Birthday to Robert Patton for his upcoming big 50!!!!
A big Thank You again to everyone and "See Ya" next year. Dutch & Di

We made it back to Sacramento about 8pm last night. Took our time loading up and heading out. I had to leave the 5th wheel behind so a friend could use it down there for work.
May Madness was a great event. Getting down there was rough, as we blew 2 tires on the trailer. #@$%!
Other than that, great trip. Good people, lots of fun! Dyno is much better with Mad Dogs than when we used to have to head into Vegas to Silver State Motorsports. I liked the open environment much better.
Only downside was getting stuck in the back 40 at the RV park. I think they had us on a watch list or something!
I already can't wait for next year! I just might have to bring more oil though!
