IRP "Live" Thread 2008!!!

I don't know if Joe compiled the results from the dry erase board. All I can remember is the high HP was 741 (not including Chris' orange truck). They suckered me into putting my truck on the roller. I was worried I'll fry the stock clutch but it survived and posted 396HP with the Smarty on SW 6.

Hey Juanito, I'll bet you are glad you stuck around for the banquet, what did you win? Now that I'm home I don't have to dust my truck every morning!

Yep I talked my wife into staying a few extra hours. I won a Packbrake air bag kit worth $260. I could use a South Bend clutch but at least I won something. Man I don't know of anyone who clean their truck as much as you. Well got to go out to the truck and finish the sound insulation project... just not quiet enough for me yet. :-laf

Good to meet some fellow TDR members and vendors to put some faces with the names. Definately a large group of friendly people. We seem to be few and far between around here.

You guys do have some nice looking trucks.

Did either of you happen to win show and shine?

Wish I could have stayed around but had promised to be back by Sat. night.

Truck is a bit sluggish back here. Could have got used to the good air.

Thanks to Joe and all who make May Madness possible. You do a great job.

Kurt,

Like I said in my earlier post it was our first time. The TDR community are a bunch of friendly folks. We were welcomed even though they never seen us before. Man my truck was and stil is dirty. It is just too big for me to wash, wax and vacuum in one day. You have an awesome 1st gen man and did well on the roller at over 500HP. Joe and company and all the volunteers that made it happen deserve all the credit. THANK YOU all.

I'm just back home from the event also. I enjoyed the week meeting and talking with new friends and old, kicking Ram tires and exchanging stories, and listening to interesting presentations by various speakers. Was able to learn a lot and answer lots of questions about the new 6. 7L engines.

Many thanks to Joe Donnelly, all the volunteers who did the hard work, the guest speakers and vendors who provided, and Preferred RV Resort, the Nugget Casino, Siatta-Trudeau Dodge all who hosted our visit and made us welcome.

It was a fun event.

Got home yesterday afternoon. Just wanted to say thanks to the whole May Madness crew for another year of hard work for a great event. Lots of great info and people to talk to.

I also dynoed my new 6. 7. I have the juice w/att on it so I did my two runs, one with the juice turned off, and one with it all the way to #5. The first was 266 HP, and the second was 385HP. No kidding. I couldn't hardly believe it.

This is going to be one heck of an engine once we all figure out how to build horsepower with it. My next step will be an ATS torque converter before I add any power mods. Hopefully it will only be a couple more weeks and it should be available. THen time to re dyno and then time to turn it up!!!!:D
With your 350HP version of the 6. 7, I'm surprized your first 266HP run was so low. My first dyno run of my stock 305HP 6. 7 C&C was 297HP and then the second run of 304HP was a surprize. My little knowledge at these things caused me to break out of my bracket at 297 that I listed prior to runs. I thought the rear wheel HP is always lower than rated HP by at least 20% and was shocked at the high rear wheel HP numbers

Once again, I had a great time at May Madness. Thanks to Joe Donnelly & Crew for all their hard work. I didn't win anything, this year, but bought a Trans-Cooler for my truck.

It was great to see everyone again. What a nice group of people!!!
